Terms of Service

Effective November 1, 2026

AnswerTheJob is a 24/7 AI receptionist service for contractors, operated by McElroy Family Ventures ("AnswerTheJob," "we," "us"). By purchasing or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

We provide an AI receptionist that answers calls to your business line in your business's name, gathers the caller's name, contact details, service need, and urgency, books appointments within the windows you set, and sends you a summary of each call. Calls may be recorded and transcribed. The receptionist is an automated system; summaries are generated automatically, and you are responsible for confirming bookings and job details with your customers.

Fees and billing

• A one-time setup fee of $297 and a subscription of $297 per month, billed in advance, unless a different price is stated in writing for your plan (for example, a founding-client offer waiving the setup fee).
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time; the service remains active through the end of the period you have paid for. There is no long-term contract.

Text messaging program

When a caller books an appointment through your AnswerTheJob line, we send a confirmation text message to the caller and a job-summary text message to you, the business owner. Message frequency varies — typically one confirmation per booking and one summary per booked call. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages; reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. By providing a phone number on a call, the caller agrees to receive the confirmation text for that booking.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate business information, service offerings, and scheduling windows, and keep them current.
• Use the service lawfully and only for your own business communications.
• Follow up on bookings and summaries promptly; we are not responsible for jobs lost due to delayed follow-up on information we delivered.

Service availability and limits

We work to keep the service available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The AI may occasionally misunderstand a caller or produce an imperfect summary; our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the month the claim arose. The service is provided "as is" without other warranties, express or implied.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
